About

Dr Yakim Milev

Mile Arc is the practice of Dr Yakim Milev, a RIBA Chartered architect based in London working across architecture, research, and applied technology.

Yakim holds a PhD from the Royal College of Art on the analysis and optimisation of modular stadium design using machine learning, and is a RIBA Chartered Member (RIBA 12917781, ARB 087240G). His architectural career spans major sports infrastructure at Populous — including two FIFA World Cup stadiums and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium — and at KSS Design Group, where he led envelope design and developed a parametric seating-generation tool for the Leicester City FC training ground and King Power Stadium expansion. He has also worked on large-scale infrastructure at Aecom and high-end interiors at Conran and Partners.

Alongside practice, Yakim has taught digital technologies and stadium design, and led architectural design studios, at London South Bank University, and has held a Research Fellowship in Robotics and Digital Fabrication. He has been an external critic and guest lecturer at UCL, Brighton University, and Oxford Brookes, and is an LAHP ambassador.

Mile Arc brings this practice-based and research-based work together under one name: architectural design and consultancy, academic and applied research, and — through Mile Arc Media — applied technology and software.
